Custom Lenses & Concierge Service: The Complete GuideUpdated 44 minutes ago
Welcome to the Fuse Lenses Custom Concierge Service! If we don’t already have your sunglasses on file, we can bring in your frames to custom-trace and cut new high-quality polycarbonate lenses. (Note: The Custom Concierge service is currently available for US residents only.)
1. Frame Eligibility & Style Guide
We create custom replacement lenses for virtually all brands, provided your frames meet our structural guidelines.
✔️ Eligible Frame Styles: Most full-rim plastic frames, semi-rimless frames, sport/wrap frames (up to an 8-base curve), metal frames with release screws, clip-on frames, and vintage styles.
✖️ Ineligible Frame Styles: Drill-mount/rimless frames, high-curvature wrap frames over an 8-base curve, flat 0-base lenses, select one-piece/shield styles, metal frames without release screws, goggles, grooved lenses, wooden/bone/horn frames, and frames requiring an ANSI safety rating.
Not sure about your frames? Send a picture of the front and sides of your sunglasses to our customer support team, and we will gladly check compatibility for you!
Brand Markings & Custom Colors
No OEM Markings: Fuse lenses are custom-manufactured in-house using premium optical polycarbonate and do not feature original manufacturer logos or brand markings.
Color Matching: We offer a wide range of lens colors and mirror tints that closely match original looks, though exact factory color matches cannot be guaranteed.
2. Pricing, Multi-Frame Limits, & What's Included
Pricing: The cost includes the price of your chosen custom lenses plus a $30 Concierge Fee.
Frame Allowance: A single $30 fee covers up to three frames/lenses sent in the same order, including shipping both ways and lab installation. Sending more than three frames requires an additional fee.
What We Don't Fix: Fuse specializes exclusively in lens replacement. We do not perform frame repairs, soldering, or structural modifications. Frames must be fully secured with working screws so we can trace them. If frames arrive broken or missing essential hardware and cannot be secured, they will be shipped back with a full order refund. We will reach out to advise of any order issues before we send it back.
3. Step-by-Step Timeline & Shipping Rules
The entire custom lens process takes approximately 2 weeks total:
Prepaid Kit Delivery (3–5 Business Days): After placing your order, we ship a prepaid shipping box directly to your door.
In-Transit to Fuse: Pack your frames into the box using the protective bubble sleeve provided and drop them off with USPS or place them in your mailbox. (Please note: Do not send personal hard cases or original boxes, as we are not liable for missing cases or accessories)
Custom Lens Creation (5–7 Business Days): Once your frames arrive at our Palm Harbor, FL headquarters, we custom-cut and install your new lenses. (Peak season between May and August may experience slightly longer processing times.)
Final Return Delivery (3–5 Business Days): Your completed sunglasses are shipped safely back to you.
Shipping Policies & Deadlines
Additional Items: If you order non-custom items (like cleaners or standard lenses) alongside your Custom Service package, they will ship together in the final package. Place a separate order if you need accessories sooner.
Prepaid Label Expiration: USPS return labels are valid for 30 days. If you ship after 30 days, USPS will send the package to an unpaid facility, where it is not guaranteed to be located, and Fuse is not responsible for seized packages. Contact support for a fresh label if yours has expired.
90-Day Order Window: If we do not receive your frames within 90 days of your original order date, the order will automatically be canceled and refunded.
4. Frame Protection, Liability, & Original Lenses
Working with pre-owned, vintage, or aged eyewear carries inherent mechanical risks like brittleness from UV exposure.
Loss or Damage Coverage: In the rare event that a frame is damaged or lost during processing, we will make every effort to source an exact replacement frame. If a replacement cannot be located (common for vintage models), we provide a market-value stipend of up to $300.
Original Lenses: We make every effort to return your original lenses. However, because removing older or tightly fitted lenses requires manual pressure, we cannot guarantee they will not crack or break during extraction.
