Custom Lenses: Frame Protection, Liability, & Original Lens PolicyUpdated 3 hours ago
We treat every pair of sunglasses sent to us with extreme care. However, because working with pre-owned, vintage, or aged frames carries inherent mechanical risks, we maintain clear guidelines regarding frame protection, liability, and original lens returns.
Frame Protection & Liability Terms
Inherent Program Risks: Age, UV exposure, and prior wear can make sunglass frames and original lenses brittle and more susceptible to cracking or stress damage during transit or lens installation.
Loss or Damage Coverage: In the rare event that a frame is lost or damaged during processing or transit:
Replacement Frame: We will make every effort to source a replacement frame. Depending on availability (especially for discontinued or vintage models), replacement frames may be sourced in pre-owned/used condition matching your original model.
Stipend Option: If a suitable replacement frame cannot be found, Fuse Lenses will provide a stipend for the current market value of your sunglasses, up to $300.
Eyeglass Cases & Packaging Guidelines
Do Not Send Eyeglass Cases: Please do not ship cases, original boxes, or specialized packaging with your sunglasses.
Prepaid Shipping Protection: The protective bubble sleeve provided inside your Fuse mailing kit is specifically designed to protect your frames in transit.
Liability Notice: Fuse Lenses accepts no liability for lost, misplaced, or damaged personal cases or non-frame accessories included in your return box.
Original Lens Return Policy
Returning Your Original Lenses: If your frames arrive with original lenses installed, we will make every effort to return them to you alongside your completed order, regardless of whether they are intact or worn.
Lenses Required for Tracing: In certain custom orders, original lenses are required to properly trace and verify your custom fit. This applies to half-rimmed frames or lenses with a specific groove feature.
No Damage Guarantee for Original Lenses: Because removing older or tightly fitted lenses requires manual pressure, we cannot guarantee that original lenses will not crack, chip, or break during removal or processing.
