How to Store Your LensesUpdated a year ago

Storing Your Sunglasses

It's always a good idea to store your sunglasses in a hard case, or the included microfiber bag in every Fuse Lenses order. It can be easy to push your sunglasses on top of your head, toss them on the dash of your car, or leave them in your purse -- but doing so is asking for trouble.

Keeping your glasses in a nice case will help prevent scratches on your lenses and will prevent your frames from bending or breaking. When choosing a case, make sure that it is the correct size. A case that is too large might allow your glasses to jostle around too much, and a case that is too small might scratch your lenses when it's being opened and closed.

Also, don't keep other items in your sunglasses case! Change, lip balm, and whatever else you throw in there, can all scratch your lenses. The only thing that should be in your case -- other than your sunglasses, obviously -- is a cleaning cloth.

Storing Your Extra Lenses

When we have so many awesome colors and lens options to choose from, it can be easy to build up a collection of lenses! But how can you keep them in tip-top shape?

If it's a pair of lenses that you constantly switch out, the included microfiber bag in your Fuse Lenses order comes with a lens pouch that can store one extra pair of lenses to be easily accessible.

If you have multiple backup pairs, it is a good idea to keep them in the included lens case that comes with every Fuse Lenses order. We recommend keeping the lenses in the plastic bag, and up to 2-3 lenses per lens case. Always clean your lenses, after you uninstall them from your frames, before storing them.

Keep in mind that lenses do not do well in extreme heat or cold. The best place to store your lenses is somewhere that is temperature controlled. For example, in your closet with other accessories. Storing your extra lenses somewhere that is exposed to a wide range of temperatures (like in your car) will affect your lenses and their coatings over time.
